Velo's World is an animated miniseries based on the digital children's book "What Does a Human Say?" which author Anders Ladegaard published a few years ago. Anders has written, illustrated, animated and composed the music for the story. In addition, it is narrated by Michael Falch, and a number of Danish musicians add voices to the songs that are included. It is a poetic and philosophical universe in a different vein.
Anders Ladegaard says: "I would like to introduce children to a different aesthetic than they are used to. Both with the illustrations and the animations, but also the music that accompanies the universe, and especially the artists who perform the music, whose sound will sound different and new to most children: The black and white drawings, the relaxed pace, the texture of both the voices and the music. I think everything helps to create a universe with room for the children to insert themselves into it, and interpret and develop on it."
Velos Verden er en kort animationsserie, som tager udgangspunkt i den digitale børnebog "Hvad Siger Et Menneske?" som forfatter Anders Ladegaard udgav for nogle år siden. Anders har skrevet, illustreret, animeret og komponeret musikken til fortællingen. Derudover er den læst op af Michael Falch, og en række danske musikere lægger stemmer til de sange der indgår. Det er et poetisk og filosofisk univers i en anderledes streg.
Anders Ladegaard siger: "Jeg vil gerne præsentere børnene for en anden æstetik end de måske er vant til. Både med illustrationerne og animationerne, men også den musik der følger universet, og særligt de artister, som fremfører musikken, hvis klang sandsynligvis vil være fremmed og ny for de fleste børn. De sort/hvide tegninger, det rolige tempo, teksturen i både stemmerne og musikken, synes jeg alt sammen er med til at skabe et univers med plads til, at børnene kan sætte sig selv ind i det, og fortolke og udvikle på det."
